About Oxbow National Wildlife Refuge
It is situated in Middlesex and the Worcester regions in Massachusetts. It was established in 1974. The Refuge is situated in the north-focal Massachusetts, around 35 miles 56 km northwest of Boston, Massachusetts.
The Refuge exists in the towns of Ayer and Shirley in Middlesex County and the towns of Hard and Lancaster in Worcester County. Tourists come here from around of the world with their family and friends. The Refuge comprises of roughly 1,667 sections of land 6.75 km2 of upland, and southern New England floodplain backwoods, and wetland groups along almost 8 miles 13 km of the Nashua River passageway.
