Owen Rose Garden
About Owen Rose Garden
It is difficult to envision a more lovely setting for get-away photographs or for a calm walk around a garden with in excess of 4,500 roses. Owen Rose Garden lies on eight and half-sections of land on the bank of the Willamette River not a long way from the Washington/Jefferson Street Bridge.
The land for the garden was given in 1951 by previous Eugene councilor George E. Owen, and the Eugene Rose Society cheerfully gave the initial 750 flower hedges. Today, guests can see in excess of 400 assortments of roses, some of which are valuable legacy and legacy assortments. The garden couldn't be kept in its current superb state without the assistance of numerous volunteers and Delta Rotary.
