The Oregon City Municipal Elevator is a 130-foot 40 m lift which interfaces two neighborhoods in Oregon City in the U.S. province of Oregon. It is the main open air metropolitan lift in the U.S. and one of just four on the planet. The upper bit contains a perception deck which represents its flying saucer appearance. There have been two lifts at this area. The present lift was worked in 1954– 55, and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.The city of Oregon City incorporates emotional changes in rise. The city's focal business area is sandwiched between the Willamette River and a basalt bluff, and is just a few pieces wide. At the highest point of the 90-foot 27 m bluff lies another area. Indian trails arranging the cliffside were utilized initially to associate the two territories starting with the establishing of the town in 1829. Numerous stairways were worked in the mid-1860s, however a superior transportation arrangement was required.
