Olivas Adobe
About Olivas Adobe
The Olivas Adobe attracts many tourists every year. It is an adobe structure by Raymundo Olivas on the north bank of the Santa Clara River about a mile from the estuary where it streams into the Santa Barbara Channel. Ventura County's just residual Monterey-style adobe home from the Rancho time - California Historical Landmark No. 115 that was put on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 - observes Ventura's Rancho and Latino legacy through end of the week visits, occasional school instructive effort projects and year round exceptional occasions. Experience the sweeping adobe home and patio worked 1847-49 by rich Don Raymundo Olivas on his 4,700-section of land Rancho San Miguel.
