About Old Statehouse

Old Statehouse is a memorable state legislative hall building situated on The Green at Dover, Kent County, Delaware. It was worked in the vicinity of 1787 and 1792, and is a two-story, five inlet, block structure in a Middle Georgian style. The front veneer includes a fanlight over the middle entryway or more it a Palladian window at the focal point of the second floor. It has a shingled side gabled rooftop finished with an octagonal vault.
Various connected wings were included in the vicinity of 1836 and 1926. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. It is situated in the Dover Green Historic District. It is presently part of the Delaware National Historic Park and a gallery keep running by the Delaware Division of Historic and Cultural Affairs.
