Old North Church
About Old North Church
Old North Church in the North End, Boston. This expression is identified with Paul Revere's midnight ride, of April 18, 1775, which went before the Battles of Lexington and Concord amid the American Revolution. The church is a mission of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts. It is the most seasoned standing church working in Boston and is a National Historic Landmark.
Inside the congregation is a failure of George Washington, which Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette, allegedly commented was the best similarity of the principal president he had ever seen. The Old North Church was worked in December, 1723, and was enlivened by crafted by Christopher Wren, the British modeler who was in charge of modifying London after the Great Fire.
