About Old Forge Distillery
100+ years back, the historic barn housed a farm supply store situated just a little away from The Old Mill. Today, the building is home to the Old Forge Distillery, named after the iron forge that fashioned a group.
In the copper area stills, Shanton who is the head of distiller makes little group spirits having 1830 Original, moonshine created utilizing unadulterated mountain spring water and fresh ground grains. Improved moonshines – Chocolate, French Toast, and Coffee — are excited by recipes from the Old Mill Kitchens.
Distiller Shanton takes the claim to fame of vapor implantation to extricate common flavors and hues from roots, herbs, and flavors while making the Tennessee Roots line, a movement of innovative 80 proof little bunch spirits. The Old Forge Tasting Bar is open each day. The Gift Store offers hand delivered sharp edges made by occupant smithy and exceptional moonshine containers high quality by Pigeon River Pottery.
