Oconaluftee

The Blue Ridge Parkway closes adjacent. Stop by the Oconaluftee Visitor Center for a lot of maps, guides, displays, supportive stop officers and programs. The Mountain Farm Museum and Oconaluftee Visitor Center are situated at the passageway to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park on U.S. Interstate 441/Newfound Gap Road close Cherokee, North Carolina.

Guests can investigate a log farmhouse, horse shelter, apple house, springhouse and a working smithy shop to get a feeling of how families may have lived 100 years prior. It's a lovely setting for a walk. The Mountain Farm Museum incorporates cultivate structures, most dating around 1900, that were moved from their unique areas all through the Great Smoky Mountain National Park to make an outdoors gallery.
