New Orleans Museum of Art
About New Orleans Museum of Art
The New Orleans Museum of Art is the most established expressive arts historical center in the city of New Orleans. It is arranged inside City Park, a short separation from the crossing point of Carrollton Avenue and Esplanade Avenue, and close to the end of the "Trench Street - City Park" streetcar line. It was set up in 1911 as the Delgado Museum of Art.The New Orleans Museum of Art was at first supported by a magnanimous concede by nearby donor and craftsmanship gatherer Isaac Delgado.
The exhibition hall building itself was incompletely planned by the previous boss architect of New Orleans Benjamin Morgan Harrod. At 71 years old Isaac Delgado, a well-off sugar specialist, kept in touch with the City Park Board about his aim to assemble a workmanship historical center in New Orleans.
