Natchez National Historical Park is historical park in Mississippi. Natchez National Historical Park respects the critical part Natchez played in the production of the Cotton Kingdom and the Antebellum South.
The Park is comprised of three units, Fort Rosalie is the area of an eighteenth Century fortress worked by the French and later possessed by the British, Spanish and Americans. The William Johnson House was a house possessed by William Johnson, a free African American agent, whose journal recounts the tale of regular day to day existence in prewar Natchez. Melrose was the bequest of John T. McMurran, a northerner who ascended from being a working class legal advisor to a place of riches and influence in prior to the war Natchez.
