Museum of the Rockies
About Museum of the Rockies
Historical center of the Rockies is an exhibition hall in Bozeman, Montana. Initially subsidiary with Montana State University in Bozeman, and now, likewise, the Smithsonian Institution, the historical center is known for its paleontological accumulations, despite the fact that these are not its sole core interest. The gallery's accumulations center around the physical and social history of the Rocky Mountains and the general population and creatures who have lived there, and go back in excess of 500 million years.
Perpetual shows include: "Persevering Peoples", which accounts the life of Native Americans on the Northern Plains and close to the Rocky Mountains; "History of the Northern Rocky Mountain Region", whose tenants included Native Americans, hide brokers, gold searchers, and white pioneers from boondocks days through World War II; the Living History Farm, which incorporates the Tinsley House, where costumed translators exhibit life in a turn-of-the-century home; and the Taylor Planetarium, a 40 ft. 104-situate domed theater.
