About Museum of Northern Arizona
The Museum of Northern Arizona is an exhibition hall in Flagstaff, Arizona, United States. The exhibition hall was established in 1928 by zoologist Dr. Harold S. Colton and craftsman Mary-Russell Ferrell Colton from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is devoted to saving the history and societies of northern Arizona and the Colorado Plateau. The historical center is an individual from the North American Reciprocal Museums program.
Northern Arizona sits on part of the Colorado Plateau which reaches out finished parts of four western states: Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico. The area in northern Arizona includes the transcending fountain of liquid magma known as the San Francisco Peaks, the regularly changing palette of the Painted Desert, the unequaled Grand Canyon, excellent Lake Powell, inquisitive Petrified Forest, lavish Oak Creek Canyon, plentiful Verde Valley, and the verdant White Mountains, just to give some examples high-lights.
Living among these physical wonders are the local people groups who, throughout keeping up their social customs, recognize and commend the regular miracles encompassing them. Rises broaden three miles vertically—from the 12,637 foot-high Humphrey's Peak of the San Francisco Peaks to the one-mile-profound Grand Canyon. In the middle of are almost boundless cases of the Earth's common history, united close in a region that gives an unending lab to the curious.
