About Museum of Flying
The Museum of Flying is a private non-benefit air and space historical center in Santa Monica, California. It was established in 1974, shut in 2002, and revived in 2012 of every another office. The Museum shows the historical backdrop of flying, concentrating on flight history in Southern California.In 1974, Douglas Museum and Library was situated on the South side of the Santa Monica Airport, the Museum relocated toward the North side of the Airport and revived as the Museum of Flying in April 1989. The Museum bit by bit developed to a gathering of more than 50 vintage air ship, a significant number of which were worked in Southern California are still in flight-prepared condition.The historical center's accumulation of ancient rarities, displays, and aeronautics craftsmanship account the improvement of avionics in Southern California. The "Chicago" now lives at the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum.
