The Museum of Contemporary Photography, based at Columbia College Chicago, is the main gallery in the Midwest with a selective sense of duty regarding the medium of photography. The exhibition hall's lasting accumulation centers on the photography of Americans and U.S. occupants since 1936. The MoCP's perpetual accumulation centers on American and International photography of the twentieth century and today.
The Museum of Contemporary Photography is famous for its unique collection which includes the work by Ansel Adams, Harry Callahan, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Julia Margaret Cameron, Walker Evans, Dorothea Lange, Irving Penn, David Plowden, Aaron Siskind, and Victor Skrebneski among the 10,000 or more photos and photographically related items, including gelatin-silver prints, shading work, advanced pieces, photograms, and different elective procedures.
