Monument Valley
About Monument Valley
Like a scene from an old western film, red shake buttes ascend from the orange betray floor, and sporadically a stallion and rider even meanders by. This is Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, situated on the Navajo Indian Reservation in southeastern Utah, close to the Arizona fringe. Various movies and ads have been shot in this grand territory, which is acclaimed for its terrific red plateaus and stone zeniths. Inside the recreation center is Valley Drive, a restricted, 17-mile, self-drive earth street running between the buttes and through the sensational scene. Pullouts up and down the course offer extraordinary open doors for photography and splashing up the view.
