Montu
About Montu
Montu is a modified thrill ride at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay in Tampa, Florida. Worked by Bolliger and Mabillard, it is the recreation center's second thrill ride outlined by the Swiss organization following the achievement of Kumba which opened 3 years earlier. At the point when the ride opened on May 16, 1996, it was the world's tallest and speediest modified exciting ride, a title it has since yielded to Alpengeist at sister stop Busch Gardens Williamsburg.
The ride stands 150 feet 46 m tall and achieves paces of 65 miles for each hour 105 km/h. The idea of an upset thrill ride with reversals was created by Jim Wintrode, the general chief of Six Flags Great America, in the mid 1990s. To build up the thought, Wintrode worked with Walter Bolliger and Claude Mabillard – from Swiss crazy ride maker Bolliger and Mabillard – and design Robert Mampe to create Batman: The Ride which opened in May 1992.
