About Montauk Point Light
The Montauk Point Light is well known among tourists, it is a beacon found contiguous Montauk Point State Park, at the easternmost purpose of Long Island, in the villa of Montauk in the Town of East Hampton in Suffolk County, New York. The beacon was the first to be worked inside the territory of New York and was the main open works task of the new United States. It is the fourth most seasoned dynamic beacon in the United States.
Since a long time ago recorded on the National Register of Historic Places, in 2012, it was assigned as a National Historic Landmark for its essentialness to New York and global transporting in the early Federal period. The beacon, which is situated on Turtle Hill at the easternmost tip of Long Island, at 2000 Montauk Highway, is a secretly run gallery and isn't a piece of Montauk Point State Park.
