Mississippi

Mississippi is a southern U.S. state with the Mississippi River to its west, the territory of Alabama to its east, and the Gulf of Mexico toward the south. Its Mississippi Delta district is viewed as the origin of blues music, respected at the Delta Blues Museum in Clarksdale. Additionally in the district is the Vicksburg National Military Park, saving the site of a basic Civil War fight. The notable city of Natchez, on a feign disregarding the Mississippi River, is celebrated around the world for its prior to the war mansions– turned-exhibition halls. Biloxi, on the drift, offers gambling club resorts and the Jefferson Davis Home and Presidential Library at the Beauvoir domain. In the northeastern city of Tupelo, the 15-section of land Elvis Presley Birthplace site is a Mississippi memorable point of interest. The 1839 Old Capitol working in Jackson, the state capital, is currently a gallery with sight and sound displays, while the city's Eudora Welty House memorializes the Pulitzer Prize– winning creator. William Faulkner's 1840s Greek Revival home, Rowan Oak, is in the city of Oxford.
