Maize

Maize is a city in Kansas, United States.Maize, got from a Native American word for "corn", was so named on the grounds that it is situated inside the Corn Belt.The Maize Town Company drove by N. F. Neiderlander, established Maize in 1886 at the main stop outside of Wichita on the Wichita and Colorado Railway. The mail station opened that same year as did the town's first church, having migrated from close-by.

Maize's first school opened in 1887; its first daily paper opened in 1895. Maize State Bank, the town's first money related establishment, opened in 1901, and, by 1908, a business group had risen. In 1915, the Maize Town Company disintegrated, and Maize was fused as a city.
