About Magna Community Baptist Church
The Magna Community Baptist Church is the first and final Protestant church building built in Magna. The first one-room segment of the congregation was worked in 1896 for the Baptist gathering in Mercur, a mining town found roughly 30 miles toward the South. In 1914, as Mercur was being surrendered, the building was moved to Magna, which around then was known as Pleasant Green.
The congregation was moved by and by in 1924 to its present area, and keeping in mind the end goal to suit the developing assembly a huge expansion was worked toward the East in 1928. The gathering, however associated with the Baptist church, has dependably worked under a soul of ecumenicalism, pleasing individuals from an assortment of Christian gatherings.
