Lytle Park Historic District
About Lytle Park Historic District
It is well known among locals and visitors for its natural beauty, the Lytle Park Historic District is a historically significant area in Ohio, United States. Generally limited by third, fifth, Sycamore, Commercial Sq and Butler Sts. in downtown Cincinnati, it focuses on Lytle Park. Settled into Cincinnati's focal business locale, Lytle Park includes a scene of botanical showcases changing from tulips, magnolia and crabapple in the spring, to annuals and perennials in the mid-year and to annuals blended with chrysanthemums in the fall.
The 2.31 section of the land stop, limited by Fourth and Lawrence Streets, is the first site of the Lytle family property, worked in 1809 by General William Henry Lytle. The Park likewise includes an 11-foot tall gallant bronze statue of Abraham Lincoln.
