Lynden Sculpture Park
About Lynden Sculpture Park
The Lynden Sculpture Garden some time ago the Bradley Sculpture Garden was the domain of the late Harry Lynde Bradley and Margaret Peg Blakney Bradley. Harry Bradley, a designer and industrialist, established the Allen-Bradley Company with his sibling Lynde in 1904, incorporating it with one of the state's best assembling concerns. Harry wedded Peg in April 1926. The date of their wedding is remembered on the wooden seat by the chimney, similar to the year they acquired the property and named it "Lynden." The Bradleys took the almost 40 sections of land of level farmland and, with the assistance of Chicago scene designers Langford and Moreau, made an English nation stop with delicately moving slopes, trees and blossom beds. The lake and the provincial extension spreading over the water were intended to coordinate Harry Bradley's recollections of the civil grounds in Kansas City where he swam as a kid.
