About Lucky Peak State Park
Lucky Peak State Park is a state park found east of Boise in Ada County, Idaho, United States, on the shores of Lucky Peak Lake. The recreation center was made in 1956 by concurrence with the United States Army Corps of Engineers, following finishing of the Lucky Peak Dam. The recreation center has three units; its Discovery Park off State Highway 21 is a roadside stop with eating areas, havens, and open doors for angling in the Boise River.
The adjacent Sandy Point unit is at the base of the dam, and has a sandy shoreline with quiet water for swimming and swimming. At the northern end of the lake, the Spring Shores unit has two watercraft inclines and a marina. Fortunate Peak State Park is the ideal place for swimming, picnicking, angling, sailing or biking. Sandy Point and Discovery is a 10 minute drive from Boise and Springs Shores Marina is 40 minutes away.
THINGS TO KNOW
- The entrance fee to the greater part of Idaho's State Parks is $5.00 per auto.
- The shielded excursion structures are ideal for facilitating family get-togethers, weddings, gatherings, or corporate gatherings. Sanctuaries can be held.
- Pets on a leash are permitted at Discovery Park and Spring Shores. Pets are not permitted at Sandy Point Beach.
