The Longfellow-Evangeline State Historic Site is the most established state stop in Louisiana and spotlights on the way of life of the Bayou Teche zone of the state. The Bayou Teche is a 125-mile long conduit in south focal Louisiana, and the site investigates different societies of the district including Cajuns, Creoles, Native Americans, and that's only the tip of the iceberg.
Henry Wadsworth Longsworth's sonnet, "Evangeline," tells the story of two Acadian sweethearts, Evangeline and Gabriel, and the tree where they met and Evangeline's grave are both clarify by him. You can visit this place with your friends and family members.
