About Lawrence Hall of Science
The Lawrence Hall of Science is the public science center of the University of California, Berkeley. For more than 50 years, The Lawrence has delighted visitors with hands-on science experiences, including exhibits, classes, camps, and an interactive planetarium. Located above the campus, the Hall enjoys a spectacular site overlooking the Berkeley campus and the San Francisco Bay Area. The Lawrence was founded in 1968 by the Regents of the University of California as a memorial to physicist E. O. Lawrence, the inventor of the cyclotron and the University's first Nobel laureate.
