About Lake Sakakawea State Park
Lake Sakakawea State Park is an open entertainment territory in North Dakota.The stop was initially created by the U.S. Armed force Corps of Engineers as Garrison Lake State Park. The North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department accepted administration in 1965, at that point extended the recreation center, renaming it Lake Sakakawea State Park in 1973.
The stop's climbing trails incorporate the western end of the 4,600-mile North Country National Scenic Trail which, when finished, will cross the northern level of the mainland United States from its eastern end at Crown Point in upstate New York. The recreation center offers swimming, angling and drifting. Lake get to is accessible at two watercraft slopes and a full-benefit marina.
