Kiln

The town is situated around 50 miles 80 km upper east of New Orleans, Louisiana. Oven is a unincorporated group and enumeration assigned place CDP in Hancock County, Mississippi, United States. Kiln is a piece of the Gulfport-Biloxi Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The most punctual tenants of the region were Choctaw and Muscogee Indians, who lived along the banks of a stream later named the Jourdan River exhausting into the Bay of Saint Louis.The populace was 2,238 at the 2010 statistics.

These clans chased, angled, and caught on the land preceding settlement by the French. In 1682, Rene-Robert Cavelier, Sieur de La Salle, a French wayfarer, asserted the locale for France and named it "Louisiana", to pay tribute to King Louis XIV, and the Mississippi Gulf Coast turned out to be a piece of the Lower Louisiana District.
