Killington Peak
About Killington Peak
Killington Peak is the second most elevated summit in the Green Mountains and in the U.S. province of Vermont. It is found east of Rutland in south-focal Vermont. A ski resort, Killington Ski Resort, nicknamed "the monster of the east is situated on the mountain. Killington is a stop on the Long Trail, which here offers its course with the Appalachian Trail. Voyaging southbound on the Trail, it is the last 4,000 feet 1,200 m crest until Virginia. A gondola transports skiers and non-climbers to the summit in winter, summer, and amid fall shading season. There is a cabin close to the pinnacle which is finished with an eatery and bar with all encompassing perspectives.
