About Kenai Fjords National Park

Kenai Fjords National Park is a United States National Park built up in 1980 by the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act. The recreation center covers a zone of 669,984 sections of land 1,046.85 sq mi; 2,711.33 km2 on the Kenai Peninsula in southcentral Alaska, close to the town of Seward. The recreation center contains the Harding Icefield, one of the biggest ice fields in the United States. The recreation center is named for the ious fjords cut by ice sheets moving down the mountains from the ice field.

The field is the wellspring of no less than 38 ice sheets, the biggest of which is Bear Glacier. The recreation center lies just toward the west of Seward, a prevalent port for journey ships. Leave Glacier is reachable by street and is a famous visit goal. The rest of the recreation center is principally open by watercraft. The fjords are frosty valleys that have been submerged beneath ocean level by a blend of rising ocean levels and land subsidence.
