Josiah Quincy House
About Josiah Quincy House
This House is situated at 20 Muirhead Street in the Wollaston neighborhood of Quincy, Massachusetts. It is built with an unordinary hipped screen rooftop, the most seasoned known case of this rooftop style to get by from the first settlements, and incorporates a Chinese fretwork balustrade and established patio. Its storage room contains four little spaces for hirelings, one with a chimney. The house is currently claimed by Historic New England, a non-benefit verifiable association, and is open just four Saturdays a year and by extraordinary arrangement. It was assigned a National Historic Landmark in 1997 for its structural centrality and for its relationship with the Quincy family.
