Jordan Pond is an oligotrophic pool in Acadia National Park close to the town of Bar Harbor, Maine. It covers 187 sections of land 76 ha, with a most extreme profundity of 150 feet 46 m and a shoreline of 3.6 miles 5.8 km.The lake was framed by the Wisconsin Ice Sheet amid the last cold time frame. It is flanked on the west by Penobscot Mountain and toward the upper east by the two mountains known as "The Bubbles". The southern end, and surge, are constrained by the characteristic Jordan Pond moraine, which has been supplemented by a little dam.The lake has clear water, with perceivability ordinarily 46 feet 14 m and events of up to 60 feet 18 m recorded, the most profound in Maine. It fills in as the water supply for the town of Seal Harbor. It doesn't encounter broke up oxygen exhaustion in the profundities of the lake. A few kinds of drifting are allowed, yet individuals and pets must remain out of the water.
