About John Slade Ely house
It was established in 1961 and the John Slade Ely House Galleries is New Haven's first real expressions focus curating and facilitating numerous local expressions associations. It was home to John Slade Ely 1860– 1906 and Grace T. Ely, who came to New Haven in 1897. The John Slade Ely House is an English Elizabethan style house worked in 1905 by S. G. Taylor. The principal presentation opened in April 1961 with works from New Haven Paint and Clay Club.
From 1897 up until his heartbreaking demise in 1906, he held the Theory and Practice of Medicine seat at Yale School of Medicine. Beauty, a dynamic group part and supporter of human expressions, went out in Trust as a craftsmanship community for developing contemporary workmanship after her demise in 1960.
