Island Line Trail
About Island Line Trail
Strings together a progression of shoreline stops and offers staggering perspectives of Lake Champlain and New York's Adirondack Mountains. One of New England's most gone to and fabulous rail-trails, the Island Line Trail in the past known as the Burlington Bikeway skirts the waterfront in the hip school town of Burlington. The best part is that the moderately level trail includes a special and picturesque excursion out finished the lake on a marble highway. Note, 7 miles of the south end are cleared, while the rest of the miles on the north end are rock, and some of it delicate.
At 2.1 miles, you'll achieve the Union Station trailhead on King Street. The trail's legitimate begin point is at the Oakledge Park trailhead on Flynn Street in southern Burlington, which offers a lot of stopping and luxuries. The course drives north along the waterfront.
