The Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Center for Visual Arts at Stanford University, once in the past the Stanford University Museum of Art, and regularly known as the Cantor Arts Center, is a complimentary workmanship historical center on the grounds of Stanford University in Stanford, California. The Cantor Center Visual Arts gathering is all encompassing in nature, including relic, ethnographic craftsmanship, current, contemporary. The middle houses more than 500 works of African craftsmanship, with an attention on non-literal workmanship from Sub-Saharan Africa. Around 70 works of this gathering are on display.
The Center's Oceanic and Indonesian accumulations comprise of more than 450 items and materials, including works from the Batak. Local American craftsmanship accumulations center mostly around California, Southwest and Northwestern works. Basketry and social items from the Yurok, Karuk, and Hupa people groups, as gathered by John Daggett are in plain view, and are from the first exhibition hall accumulation. Around 200 works from Mesoamerica are likewise in plain view, including earthenware works from West Mexico and old pottery from the Mimbres, the Anasazi and Casas Grandes. The Center has the biggest gathering of Auguste Rodin works outside of the Musee Rodin in Paris. The accumulation, obtained by B. Gerald Cantor, incorporates more than 400 works.
