Holocaust Memorial Museum

The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum USHMM is the United States' legitimate remembrance of the Holocaust. Adjoining the National Mall in Washington, D.C., the USHMM accommodates the documentation, study, and elucidation of Holocaust history. It is committed to helping pioneers and nationals of the world stand up to contempt, counteract genocide, advance human respect, and fortify democracy.

The historical center has a working spending plan, starting at 2015, of $104.6 million.2 In 2008, the Museum had a staff of around 400 representatives, 125 contractual workers, 650 volunteers, 91 Holocaust survivors, and 175,000 individuals. It had nearby workplaces in New York City, Boston, Boca Raton, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Dallas. Since its commitment on April 22, 1993, the Museum has had almost 40 million guests, including in excess of 10 million school kids, 99 heads of state, and in excess of 3,500 remote authorities from more than 211 nations.

The Museum's guests originated from everywhere throughout the world, and under 10 percent of the Museum's guests are Jewish. Its site had 25 million visits in 2008 from a normal of 100 unique nations every day. 35% of these visits were from outside the United States.
