Historic Cherry Hill
About Historic Cherry Hill
Historic Cherry Hill was worked in 1787 as a home for Philip and Maria Van Rensselaer, and it filled in as the home of five ages of this rich and intense Albany family. It is today a standout amongst the most vital points of interest of this time of Albany history and the historical backdrop of this wonderful family.
When Emily Rankin, the last family relative, passed on, she handed down the house and every one of its substance to the province of New York, and the house was opened as a gallery in 1964.
It contains in excess of 70,000 individual items, workmanship pieces, records, ornamental expressions, decorations, expressions, and photos that paint the life of the Rensselaer family and the circumstances they lived in. The house has a scope of instructive projects and guided visits for guests.
