High Point State Park

High Point State Park is a state stop situated in Sussex County in the Skylands Region of Northwestern New Jersey, close to the outskirt with New York. The recreation center spreads 15,413 sections of land (62.37 km²). Some portion of the Kittatinny Mountains, the most astounding point in the province of New Jersey sits in the northern compasses of the recreation center. Highway 23 skirts the recreation center and gives access to guests from the New Jersey rural areas and from focuses in New York State. The recreation center is controlled by the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry. Extra charges are just charged from Memorial Day end of the week to Labor Day: $5.00 on weekdays and $10.00 on ends of the week.

High Point Monument, worked at High Point, situated at 1,803 feet (550 m) above ocean level (the most elevated point in New Jersey, henceforth the name), offers perspectives of farmland and timberland, slopes and valleys in three states, out to the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, where the Delaware River isolates the edges of New Jersey from those of Pennsylvania. High Point offers trails for climbing and crosscountry skiing and regions for outdoors and angling.

The landmark was worked to respect war veterans, through the liberality of the Kusers. Development started in 1928 and finished in 1930. At the highest point of the 220 feet (67 m) structure (the base is 34 square feet (3.2 m²)), onlookers have perspectives of the edges of the Pocono Mountains toward the west, the Catskill Mountains toward the north and the Wallkill River Valley in the southeast. At the highest point of New Jersey's tallest handle, the Monument is a pillar landmark like other war landmarks, for example, the one situated on Breed's Hill in Massachusetts.
