About High Line Manhattan
The High Line, raised stop and promenade based on a deserted cargo rail line on the West Side of Manhattan, New York, U.S. Its first area opened in 2009. With the finishing of its last segment in 2014, the High Line stretched out around 1.5 miles 2.4 km from Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District formally Gansevoort Market in Greenwich Village west and north to West 34th Street, possessing 22 of the 41 squares initially crossed by the railroad. The recreation center's plantings, for the most part local species, were intended to bring out the wild and unconstrained development that had happened on the tracks after the rail line fell into neglect. Notwithstanding a significant assortment of plants, the High Line contains a few compositional highlights, including the supposed Viewing Spur, a perception zone with bleacher like seating and a standpoint encompassed by an expansive edge.
