Hewlett-Packard House and Garage
About Hewlett-Packard House and Garage
It is a private gallery where the organization Hewlett-Packard HP was established. It is situated at 367 Addison Avenue in Palo Alto, California. It is thought to be the "Origination of Silicon Valley." In the 1930s, Stanford University and its Dean of Engineering Frederick Terman started urging personnel and graduates to remain in the zone as opposed to leaving California, and build up an innovative district.
HP authors William Hewlett and David Packard are viewed as the main Stanford understudies who accepted Terman recommendation. The carport has since been assigned California Historical Landmark and is recorded on the National Register of Historic Places. Despite the fact that not open for open visits, the property can be seen from the walkway and garage.
