About Heritage Park
Heritage Park is Junction City's focal open space situated in the noteworthy downtown area. The recreation center fills in as the site for some group occasions, and is home to the biggest free multi-day July fourth festival in Kansas - Sundown Salute and the Jammin' in JC Blues and BBQ Festivals. Legacy Park includes the Civil War Arch, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, first Infantry Division Memorial, Law Enforcement Memorial, a bandstand and drinking fountain. Numerous commemorations paying tribute to our legacy are included inside the recreation center. It is the ideal place to accumulate for recognition of the individuals who have yielded such a great amount for our qualities and flexibility today.
