It is situated on a 11,000-section of land 45 km sq. untamed life asylum in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem and is home to a wealth of elk, moose, sandhill cranes, trumpeter swans, and the periodic dark or mountain bear. 66% of the trumpeter swans that winter in the bordering United States spend the season in Harriman State Park.
