Governor John Langdon House
About Governor John Langdon House
This memorable house turned-exhibition hall was at one time the home of shipbuilder, trader, Revolutionary War legend, three-term legislative head of the province of New Hampshire, and underwriter of the constitution John Langdon. The house is a great Georgian style chateau, once alluded to as the primary home of its stature by President George Washington. After a few ages of Langdon family residency, the home progressed to a historical center.
Today, the property is deliberately safeguarded, and it has been equipped with period time stylistic theme that delineates the way of life of one of Portsmouth's initial eminent nationals. Furthermore, an on location exhibition hall has unique bits of the home, property of the Langdon family, and chronicled relics.
