Gold Medal Park is a park in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. Composed via scene planner Tom Oslund, the recreation center is possessed by the city of Minneapolis and opened in May 2007. It takes its motivation from the Native American hills that are found all through Minnesota, and its name from Gold Medal flour, a result of General Mills. It comprises of a 32-foot-high hill, came to by a winding walkway ascending out of a green grass with 300 trees. The recreation center, only east of the Guthrie Theater, furnishes the Mill District neighborhood with some uncommon green space.Across the road from the recreation center and adjoining the waterway is Remembrance Garden, which is a tribute to the casualties of the I-35W Mississippi River connect crumple. It was devoted on August 1, 2011, the fourth commemoration of the crumple.
