The grounds were at one time the domain of Civil War officer and Rhode Island lawmaker Robert Goddard, whose youngsters gave the land to the state in 1927 as a remembrance to their dad. This Park is a urban state stop possessing 490acre along the shores of Greenwich Cove and Greenwich Bay in Warwick, Rhode Island.
The recreation center highlights a nine-gap green, an equestrian territory with 18mi of harness trails, swimming shoreline, paddling region, picnicking offices, diversion fields, and a performing expressions center. Plans were d in 2014 to move the Narragansett Runestone to the recreation center.
