Ghost towns
About Ghost towns
Prepare to encounter the old West by going to the two phantom towns close Aspen. Ashcroft ghost town, which initially was home to two daily papers, a school, and twenty cantinas, grew up on account of the disclosure of silver close by. Presently just a couple of structures remain to demonstrate what stays of the town. Autonomy then again was built up after a vein of gold was found, albeit soon the draw of Aspen's effective silver mining business left this town deserted. The two towns are open for visits amid the mid year and are controlled by the Aspen Historical Society.
