George Washington Bridge
About George Washington Bridge
Famous among tourists for its amazing view of New York City, the George Washington Bridge has a vehicular suspension connect crossing the Hudson River, U.S., between The Palisades stop close Fort Lee, N.J., and Manhattan island, New York City. The first structure was manufactured 1927– 31 by the Swiss-conceived build Othmar H. Ammann as per the altered outlines of engineer Cass Gilbert. It was built to convey eight paths of activity. A lower deck with six more movement paths was included 1958– 62, alongside an advanced transport terminal on the Manhattan side. On the New York side the pinnacle remains ashore; on the New Jersey side the pinnacle ascends out of the waterway 76 feet 23 m from shore. The scaffold was constructed and is worked by the Port of New York Authority
