Geary County Historical Society

The Geary County Historical Museum, Library and documents house a broad accumulation of vintage photos, including crafted by JJ Pennell, daily papers dating from the Civil War and Geary County's genealogical records. ermanent shows incorporate the historical backdrop of downtown in Junction City; Plains Indians of Kansas; Grandma's Kitchen; school building; noteworthy locales: St. Joseph's Church and Spring Valley School. There are three stories of displays, both changeless and pivoting. We have a magnificent blessing shop where you can purchase presents for yourself or others. You can advance back in time and experience a Main Street in light of shops from the Junction City memorable downtown. See a Tack Room, Parlor and Kitchen, and hand crush your own espresso beans! See and hear the masterfulness of neighborhood American Indian clans and those over the fields.
