It was set on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977, and has been worked as a museum. The Francis Ermatinger House is situated in Oregon City. Worked by Francis Ermatinger in 1845, it is the most seasoned house in Clackamas County. Built in the Greek Revival style, the house was initially situated close to the Willamette River, in the downtown territory close Willamette Falls. Francis Ermatinger, a worker of the Hudson's Bay Company, stayed in Oregon City after the organization deserted its activities there in 1845.The house has been moved twice in its history, first in 1910 to the edge of eleventh and Center lanes, and again in 1986 to its present area at the edge of sixth and John Adams avenues, neighboring the Stevens Crawford House gallery
