Post Niobrara National Wildlife Refuge is situated in the U.S. province of Nebraska and incorporates 19,131 sections of land. Niobrara Reservation. Grasping parts of townships thirty-three and thirty-four north, ranges twenty-six and twenty-seven west, Sixth Principal Meridian, Nebraska, the same being a piece of the surrendered Fort Niobrara Military Reservation. This reservation was augmented by official request of November 14, 1912, including around nine hundred sections of land, which incorporated the building and old parade-grounds of the military reservation. Stronghold Niobrara NWR is situated along the banks of the Niobrara River in Cherry County. The waterway has dissolved into the limestone, making bluffs and a fluctuated geology.
