It is situated in Flint, Michigan was roused by a visit to a Washington D.C. kids' historical center in 1979. Nearby instructor Mary Newman started Flint Children's Museum.
Situated on the grounds of Kettering University at 1602 University Ave. In the past Third Ave. in Flint. In 1980, a hands-on collectibles and specialties display for youngsters was introduced at Flint's Sloan Museum. By 1986, the display had developed so remarkably that, with group bolster and extra concedes, the Flint Children's Museum's first changeless area was built up at NorthBank Center in downtown Flint, working there for a long time.
A mysterious blessing in 1990 made the Mary Newman Endowment Fund at the Community Foundation of Greater Flint.
